Born in Williamsville, Delaware, James Brasure is a part of a well respected family that has resided on the Eastern Shore for over three generations. Young Jim first worked in the family’s chicken business a young boy. But while in high school his shop teacher would let him paint some of the old farm tractors and Jim excelled at it. His brother had started painting houses around that time and occasionally, Jim helped him on some of his jobs. So, it wasn’t long before there wasn’t much of anything that young James Brasure couldn’t paint….and paint well.
For a few years Jim traveled and worked at auto body shops in Florida and California where he honed his skills in all types of auto body repairs. When he moved back home to Sussex County, DE, he opened up his own shop. After he met and married Paulette, from nearby Selbyville, they started working together in a small body repair shop in eastern Sussex County before moving to their present location off of Route 113. As their business grew, they added additional garage space as well as a highly trained and certified crew to help them keep up with an ever increasing workload. About 8 years ago they thought it was time to retire and actually closed up their family run business. But barely a half a year later they both came to a realization that they missed working, meeting people, making new friends and that retirement did not suit them at all. So they reopened their body shop and today, they are as busy as ever.

In more recent years they have scaled down their business operation a bit, but still maintain a fully equipped, state of the art auto body collision repair facility. Jim and Paulette continue to work hand in hand with local residents and visitors to the Delaware resort area. They are one of the few collision repair shops that still accept walk-ins from off the street from the moment they open until the moment the close. They love doing what they do best and being able to offer the kind of friendly and personal attention that so many of their competitors no longer seem to provide on a regular basis. They continue to work closely with most insurance companies to make all the necessary arrangements for estimates to ensure that your car or truck is properly and safely repaired of all body and frame damages in a timely and efficient manner.
